A shellbark size nut with shell thickness of shagbark. Etters Hican is a Shagbark X Pecan hybrid selected by Fayette Etter sometime before 1969. It is an outstanding Hican with strong Shagbark characteristics. Etter is a complex hickory hybrid grown by Fayette Etter. Looks to be a hybrid between McAllister Hican and Weschcke shagbark. The nuts look very much like a Hickory nut but have a very thin shell like a pecan. One of the best.
