'Rose' (Grimo 75) is a heartnut from Ernie Grimo's breeding work at Grimo Nut Nursery, Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario, from a cross of Campbell CW3 x 'Imshu'. The nuts are small but crack consistently, releasing the kernel whole. Like its pollen parent 'Imshu', its female flowers are receptive before it sheds pollen (protogynous). Rated for zones 6 to 8.
