Petrichor Sorbet™ (formerly Petrichor 1) was the first pawpaw selected by Seren Petrichor of Petrichor Pawpaws in Bat Cave, North Carolina, from seed sourced at a Western North Carolina farmer's market and planted in 2012. A classic, late-ripening variety with elongated fruit, a sweet flavor, and freestone seeds. A heavy producer, with texture and flavor well suited to making sorbet.
