Golden Supreme is an old American persimmon (Diospyros virginiana) selected from the wild in Illinois in the late 19th century. It has been used by persimmon breeders as a parent: it is the pollen parent of 'Prairie Sun' ('Garretson' x 'Golden Supreme') and a parent of 'Elmo' (Claypool A-118), a hand-pollinated cross of 'Golden Supreme' and 'Garretson'. Little has been published about its own fruit.
